The ATLAS system was specifically designed for Bibby Distribution because no other system was available in the market that offered a real-time solution.

The ATLAS system has a web-based portal allowing customers to track the status of shipments online. Handheld scanners or PDAs are used to scan the barcode of the goods at the warehousing, transit and delivery points. They can even be scanned into delivery receptacles such as cages to offer full traceability from the warehouse right through to the customer premises.

This system is used for our Through the Night service, predominantly to service automotive parts manufacturers, where traceability is paramount.

• Loading – Goods can be loaded with consignment information via and EDI link from the customer.
