Bibby Bicentenary Celebrations raising £200,000 for charities -
The business, founded by John Bibby in 1807 has developed during the last 200 years to become the Bibby Line Group we know today. Throughout this change one thing has remained constant, that Bibby Line Group is a friendly family owned business that values it’s employees, and supports the local communities in which it operates.
Tough Guy -
Six Bibby employees took on the gruelling challenge of an all day assault course called ‘Tough Guy’ raising funds for Claire House and The Horse Sanctuary

Weatherhead High School -
Retaining close working relationship. Have sponsored a Ladies Football Kit for the School, which will have the Bibby pantones/logos. This kit is now being developed as the official "Bibby Home Kit".
Transaid -
Brian Riddle arranged further secondment visits to Malawi to conduct Driver Development. 10 students - police driving school, National Road Safety Council (equivalent to DoT) Training schools, Hauliers and TEVET (equivalent to City & Guilds or OCR). 9 out of the 10 passed the course.
Bicester -
Truck Child Safety Scheme - Brian Riddle and Terry Kirk continue with project to visit 24 primary schools in the Oxford area with a Bibby Truck; similar to that project carried out for Road Safety Week in 2002. This will also be rolled out across the North West at some point in the future.
Great North Run -
Team of 20 entered into Great North Run for September 2003 - raising funding for Leukaemia Research.
Scunthorpe -
The relationship with Thomas Sumpter School continues and a business case has been approved to support the school with a donation.
Bicester -
Recently completed a joint venture with Budweiser to sponsor Bicester Town Football Club. AB have put forward £5,000 sponsorship money and will have company's logo on the majority of the kit and boards. All employees will benefit from the membership with full use of the clubhouse and facilities.
Also sponsored Mortonville under 7's Football Club, Bardwell under 9's Football Club and Chesterton Cricket club - this will go towards new equipment.
Liverpool -
Supported Steve Turk (Assistant Accountant) in Blackpool Marathon (National Asthma Campaign).
Sponsoring Merseyside Air Ambulance 2003.
Driver of the Year 2003 -
Our internal Winner, Alan Johnstone (Glasgow) has been successful in reaching the finals of the "National Truck and Van Driver of the Year Competition" hosted by The Lorry Driver of the Year Association and the Transport Research Lab. Alan came 3rd in his category during the semi-finals.
24 Peak Challenge -
Care International - our team successfully completed the event in 22 hours and 47 minutes and raised just under £10,000 for the Charity. Submitted to Care International December 2002
Blackburn -
The Company assisted in the production of the Lucite/Bibby Health & Safety Calenda.
Bicester -
Truck Child Safety Scheme - Brian Riddle and Bicester Depot have undertaken a project to visit 24 primary schools in the Oxford area with a Bibby Truck; similar to that project carried out for Road Safety Week.
Ian Rapson -
The Company sponsored Ian to run the London Marathon on 13th April.
Leeds -
Local School students taken on for work experience in the Transport Department for a two-week period.
Relationship developed with local training center (The Cathedral Centre) and a newly qualified FLT driver was taken on for a three week placement to give him relevant experience within the industry.
