Reverse Logistics

Reverse Logistics

Our reverse logistics services enable goods to be moved back from their initial delivery point to their original source ensuring that re-usable materials and assets are managed or ensuring that proper disposal of waste material takes place. We also use reverse logistics whenever possible to improve vehicle efficiency and to provide additional added value services to our clients. Here's how this works in practice:

  • Product: this may be unscheduled or planned returns programmes. Either way it needs to be managed as effectively as the outbound distribution.
  • Assets: (e.g. Stillages and cages ) many products are delivered either in roll cages or in stillages. These may be returned either empty or containing returned product and waste. These can also be tracked using our Atlas TMS system
  • Waste: with increasing pressure both environmentally and financially, to ensure that waste is disposed of responsibly, we utilise our outbound delivery vehicles to return waste back from customer premises.
  • Shared user vehicles:  vehicles combining deliveries from other contracts to minimise cost and overall miles run.
  • Optimised transport system: allowing different contracts to communicate and take advantage of empty vehicle legs, internally subcontracting loads and provide customer savings.
