Bibby Distribution is celebrating their continued relationship with D S Smith with a three-year contract extension with their DSSP Featherstone factory, commencing on 1st February 2009.

Bibby Distribution has worked closely alongside D S Smith since 2003 and prides itself with providing them with a first class, high quality, cost effective service. Bibby Distribution work closely with their customer to add value and continue to drive down costs in all areas of their operation. Bibby Distribution and DSSP have now incorporated inbound reel traffic into the profile which has helped to keep transport charges to a minimum. 20 new trailers, 13 in DSSP livery, have been specifically built with a higher internal measurement than standard to specifically meet customer requirements.

The Contract adds value in various areas; the new fitment of Telematic Vehicle Monitoring systems enables drivers to drive more safely and be more fuel-efficient and pallet monitoring and collection services have been introduced to reduce pallet purchase costs. Savings from both these areas of focus will be shared between the parties.
