I have been with Bibby Distribution for eleven years. I started as an IT Area Systems Manager with responsibility for the Northern area.

For the past eight years I have been the Technical Support Manager with responsibility for the delivery of all IT systems and services in use throughout the Business.

I have seen the IT infrastructure undergo significant growth and change during the last eleven years and anticipate future growth in order to support and underpin the continued expansion of the Business.

Day to day role

I manage the Technical Support team which is responsible for delivering all IT systems and services to 58 sites and 1200+ users throughout the UK.

A Continuous Improvement policy ensures the team is constantly challenging the status quo to ensure a more efficient and cost effective service is delivered to our customers and users

We run a Disaster Recovery site that has a replica of all our key IT equipment and systems in it. All data is replicated in real time to this site so we always have an up to date copy at the DR site; we conduct a fail over test twice a year and continue to prove that all systems can run live from the DR site within 2 hours of attendance at site should the Liverpool Data centre go off line.

What's life like working for Bibby Distribution

After working here for eleven years I am glad to say that each day is different, enjoyable but still brings new challenges with it. As a Business we are continually striving to improve; we operate within a culture of Respect, Integrity, Customer focus and Continuous Improvement.
