
Meg Dilworth - Commercial Accountant
I started as a management accountant with Bibby in 1991 when I was part of a very small accounting team looking after the finances of some of our customer contracts. After approximately five years I switched roles to financial accountant and took on my current role as commercial accountant around three years ago. Accordingly, I have seen the division and company grow and prosper over the years.
Day to day role
The principal aspects of my day-to-day role are the financial aspects of insurance, verifying policies, governing assignment principals and reconciling values, together with attending to property issues within the business. Having previously worked as a management accountant I have a broad understanding of operational and customer requirements that assist me in my current role.
What's it like working for Bibby Distribution
I suppose sometimes it's quite difficult to say what it's like working for a company, especially after such a long period. What's important to me is the culture here, a few chosen words are, Philanthropy, Stability, Safety Conscious and Flexibility (I work three days a week) this encapsulates for me Bibby across all that time and it's a place in which I feel comfortable to work.
