Brian Taylor - Drive

I joined as a driver and have recently been nominated as health for safety advisor for drivers. This involves attending meetings and acting as a conduit between managers and the drivers. I have been driving for 30 years but have also run a transport operation in the past so I have seen all sides of it.

Day to day role

I work on the Arla milk contract working 4 on 4 off, delivering bulk loads into ASDA & Tesco RDCs around the country, adhering to road safety and meeting strict time delivery windows of 30 minutes.  If you miss your window you may have to deliver the following day, so the pressures on the warehouse and the drivers to get the loads there on time.

There is a good camaraderie here, I actually look forward to coming to work and feel very much at home working here.
