Since 2000 Bibby Distribution has been partnering with Tetrosyl to revolutionise the way their market-leading products are distributed from their manufacturing base in Chadderton, Greater Manchester to the rest of the UK, and to their 75 overseas markets.

Since the beginning of our relationship our approach of understanding our customer’s business, and finding all the ways in which we can help improve distribution and reduce costs has resulted in Bibby becoming an integral part of the Tetrosyl team.

How we’ve helped Tetrosyl

2000

Bibby Distribution become Tetrosyl’s first outsourced logistics partner, complementing their in-house distribution fleet. Our initial service provided Tetrosyl with a national distribution network using Bibby sites as hubs in strategic geographical locations.

2002

Within two years we took over the entire UK distribution and incorporated Tetrosyl’s employees into our own organisation. We also transferred the ownership of Tetrosyl’s vehicle fleet to Bibby ownership, providing an equity release and significant savings on running costs.

2003

Our experience and expertise in providing multi-partner logistics resulted in Bibby taking over the control of the pallet supplier, further reducing costs and administrative headaches for Tetrosyl.

2004

A major overhaul and consolidation of fleet and consignment efficiencies led to a significant reduction of truck journeys and road miles, resulting in even further savings for Tetrosyl whilst reducing their carbon impact.

2006

A new fleet was rolled out carrying the livery of the Tetrosyl brand and products, providing a significant increase in brand and product advertising opportunities of car products to drivers on all the major roads throughout the UK.

2007

Further improvements to maximise capacity were created by introducing the latest technology double deck trailers on the major trunk roads in the distribution network.

2008

As part of the ongoing deepening of our partnership the distribution centre was relocated from our Heywood Distribution Centre to Tetrosyl’s Greengate site in Chadderton, Greater Manchester.

2010

A major new contract was signed to extend the partnership by a further 5 years, highlighting the continuing added value that Bibby were bringing to Tetrosyl. We also updated the livery on a large number of our vehicles to promote Tetrosyl’s Carlube motor oil brand, resulting in a highly cost-effective nationwide advertising network directly to the target audience.
